“What’s been reported is disturbing and unfortunately all-too-common in our state. There are many people on both sides of the aisle who care deeply about addressing systemic issues holding citizens back, but stories like these show that the first step in doing so might need to be addressing corruption.
It is particularly egregious that several instances of recent misconduct have involved politicians and leaders of our public education institutions.
It is time to get politics out of all levels of our public education system by banning political contributions from the teachers union and public school administrators to any county or state officeholders or candidates.”
