Happy Holidays! Usually this weekend we would be preparing to host our Annual MDGOP Christmas Party at the beautiful home of our National Committeewoman Nicolee Ambrose accompanied by a guest appearance and photos with our Congressman, Andy Harris. 

But since COVID has put the kibosh on that, we will be doing a virtual party.

Judge blocks indoor-dining ban in Anne Arundel County

A judge in Anne Arundel County is temporarily blocking an indoor-dining ban. 

There will be another hearing Dec. 28.

Pittman’s executive order would have banned indoor dining starting tonight (Wednesday).

Maryland restaurants sue to keep indoor dining open for the holidays

“The Restaurant Association of Maryland announced Friday that it has filed for temporary restraining orders and injunctions to reopen indoor dining in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties as well as Baltimore City. All three jurisdictions restricted indoor dining in December.”

Maryland Republican Party Elects New Executive Board to serve through 2022

The Maryland Republican Party held officer elections at its Fall 2020 State Party Convention on Saturday, December 12, 2020.  The new slate of officers are as follows.
 
Chairman – Incumbent Chairman Dirk Haire was reelected to a third term.  Chairman Haire received 66% of the vote on the first ballot in a three-way race.  Mr. Haire, a resident of Anne Arundel County, is a partner in the Washington, DC office of the national law firm Fox Rothschild LLP.
 
First Vice Chairman – Nicole Bennett, a resident of Charles County, was elected First Vice Chairwoman.  Ms. Bennett is a health care professional and currently serves as Chairwoman of the MDGOP’s Black Republican Council.
 
Second Vice Chairman – Al Mendelsohn, a resident of Baltimore County, was elected Second Vice Chairman.   Mr. Mendelsohn is a small business owner.
 
Third Vice Chairman – Chris Tomlinson, a resident of Carroll County, was elected Third Vice Chairman.  Mr. Tomlinson is a public works professional at the Maryland Transit Administration.
 
Secretary – Incumbent Secretary Mark Uncapher was reelected to a third term.  Mr. Uncapher, a Montgomery County resident, is a public affairs professional.
 
Treasurer – Incumbent Chris Rosenthal was reelected to a sixth term.  Mr. Rosenthal, an Anne Arundel County resident, is a CPA and forensic accountant with the firm Vallit Advisors LLC.
Our Party is funded by grassroots donors and organizers, without folks like you, we would not succeed as a party. If you have a few dollars to spare, chipping in now will help the Republican Party win our State and our Nation back in 2022.
