THANK YOU!

Support HB1167 Health Care, Equal Access and Shortage (Maryland Nondiscrimination in Health Care Coverage Act)
HB1167 protects patients during medical crisis or scarcity from having life-sustaining care withheld or withdrawn at the discretion of healthcare providers or healthcare institutions based on the belief that a patient’s quality of life is not worth continuing care or not worth the cost of care, despite the wishes of the patient or patient families. Support HB1198 The Abortion-inducing Drug Risk Protocol
HB1198 protects the health and welfare of every woman considering a drug-induced abortion. This bill ensures that women considering a drug-induced abortion receive comprehensive information on abortion -inducing drugs, including the potential to reverse the effects of the drugs, should she change her mind. ***RED ALERT*** Hearing set for Wednesday 3/31Oppose HB308 Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (“SLAPP”)
MDRTL strongly objects to HB308 Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation. This bill will enable SLAPP suits and restrict the exercise of free speech in Maryland. It will enable frivolous lawsuits to suppress pro-life speech and hurt pro-life organizations, including pregnancy centers, potentially putting them out of business. Contact Julie@mdrtl.org with testimony by noon 3/29. *** RED ALERT*** Hearing set for Monday 3/29. Oppose SB331 Adoption – Access to Birth and Adoption Records and Search, Contact and Reunion Services
MDRTL strongly opposes SB331. This bill will deprive birth mothers of their right to privacy in the adoption process. Privacy means LIFE – The right to privacy and to protect her identity from being disclosed, even when the child reaches the age of maturity, empowers a birth mother to choose life for her child over death through abortion.Closed adoption already allows for disclosure of family medical history without revealing the birth mother’s identify. Oppose SB438 Public Schools – Pregnant and Parenting Students – Policies and Reports.
MDRTL is opposed to SB438. This bill seems to support students who want to parent their children with such incentives as lactation rooms. But the bill is so broadly written that there will almost certainly be consequences which will lead to the expansion of abortion in our schools. It is for this reason that the bill is supported by NARAL (National ABORTION Rights Action League). Has crossed over and will be heard by the House

Thank you and have a blessed weekend!

For Life,

Katherine Adelaide JD, Member,
Carroll County Republican Central Committee (CCRCC)
