Plaintiffs in the lawsuit are Republican voters from all eight of the stateâs congressional districts, including two state delegates: Del. Kathy Szeliga (R-Baltimore and Harford) and Del. Christopher T. Adams (R-Lower Shore). The lawsuit charges that Marylandâs new congressional map â passed by Democratic lawmakers during a special session earlier this month â violates the Article I, Section 7 of the Maryland Constitution. That section requires the General Assembly to âpass Laws necessary for the preservation of the purity of Elections.â

âBuckel (R-Allegany County) ran with Del. Haven Shoemaker (R-Carroll County), who will serve as minority whip. Buckel and Shoemaker garnered 78% of the vote from the 42-member caucus.â

Our Party is funded by grassroots donors and organizers, without folks like you, we would not succeed as a party. If you have a few dollars to spare, chipping in now will help the Republican Party win our State and our Nation back in 2022.
