This bill will request a waiver so catastrophic plans can be offered on the open market. It will enable health insurance providers to create more affordable healthcare through the open market instead of forcing Marylanders to pay fines for not being able to afford health insurance.

Members of the Health and Government Operations Committee,

I am writing to you in support of House Bill 806, the Copper Plans to lower health insurance rates. I believe we need more affordable options in the healthcare market. The focus should be on providing those options instead of creating new mandates. This bill will provide more affordable healthcare options to Marylanders without penalizing them.

Please vote for HB 806 if it comes up for a vote in your committee!
