OPPOSE HB403/SB903 & SB901 – NO SANCTUARY STATE

Dear Members of The Maryland General Assembly,

The following bills: HB403/SB903, & SB901 are up for consideration this legislative session, and if passed, would turn Maryland into a sanctuary state.

HB403/SB903 would block federal immigration authorities from accessing public schools, hospitals, and courthouses. HB403 was passed by the House of Delegates on 3/11. SB903 was passed out of the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee on 3/10. Please OPPOSE SB903 and HB403 when it reaches the floor of the Maryland Senate.

SB901 prohibits State and Local participation in any federal immigration program, turning Maryland into a full blown Sanctuary State. The Judicial Proceedings committee plans to vote on this measure on Friday, March 13th.

When and If any of these bills should come before you for a vote, I urge that you oppose and vote against any measures that would lead to Maryland becoming a sanctuary state.
