Barry Donadio, Sergeant at Arms

Barry Donadio led an honorable career in the volunteer ambulance, volunteer fire department, the military, law enforcement, and the United States Secret Service. He was assigned to the White House for 7 years and protected two presidents. He also served in multiple Middle Eastern war zones during his career. He gained fame in 2013 when he published his book “TWA Flight 800 First Responder Witness Account”. In 2014, he was elected to the Queen Anne’s County Republican Central Committee in Maryland and honorably served out his four-year term. In January 2017, he was appointed the Sergeant at Arms of the Maryland Republican Party. In December 2022 he was reappointed as Sgt. at Arms and he continues to serve the Republican Party in the capacity into 2024. Donadio received multiple military medals during his military service, which included the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal, among others. On June 24, 2019, Barry Donadio was awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal for his military service back in 2002. On March 30th, 2022, Barry Donadio was awarded New York State’s Medal for Merit by the Division of Military and Naval Affairs 20 years after his military service. On May 18, 2022, he was awarded New York State’s Conspicuous Service Star medal by the New York Governor. On May 29th, 2023, Donadio was awarded the Long & Faithful Medal for his service to the military forces of the state of New York. Donadio went on to publish 6 more books.

Del. Reid Novotny
Reid Novotny has been in service to our Nation for the last 20 years. He is dedicated to serving others and committed to making the United States, Maryland, and this county a better place. After moving his daughter from three houses in the first four years of her life; Reid left Active Duty Air Force, 1600 days before eligibility to his $3.3 million dollar military retirement. This devotion to his family and the desire to establish roots was perfectly matched by this welcoming community and leading schools. Reid volunteers through his daughters’ school, serves in the Maryland National Guard, and is developing a small business with the goal of helping other small businesses succeed in Howard County. Reid has been happily married since 2006 and lives in Western Howard County.
Reid ran for the Maryland State Senate in 2018 in District 9. He is a member of the Howard County Republican Central Committee, the MDGOP Nominations committee, the MDGOP tech committee, and is the former Vice President of the Howard County Republican Club.
Garrett L. Zahner
Garrett L. Zahner has served as a member and Parliamentarian of the Baltimore County Republican Central Committee since 2021. Garrett currently serves as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Bylaws and Deputy Parliamentarian of the Maryland Republican Party. Garrett has previously served as Party Parliamentarian, Rules Chair, and Deputy Director. Garrett graduated from Towson University Summa Cum Laude with two separate Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Political Science. Furthermore, Garrett currently attends The Pennsylvania State University, Penn State Law School.
Previously, Garrett was an active College and Young Republican serving as Executive, Legislative, and Political Director for the Maryland Federation of College Republicans, Bylaws Chair and Parliamentarian for the Young Republicans, and Northeast Regional Secretary of the College Republican National Committee. Moreover, Garrett was the Vice-President of his local Republican Club, the Northeast Republican Club of Baltimore County.
