statement: “Now that all counties have certified their results and we have Republican Party nominees, the
Maryland Republican Party congratulates all of our Republican nominees for this November’s general
elections. The Party also thanks all of our primary candidates who ran, but did not prevail, for running
and bringing energy and conservative ideals to all Marylanders. Now that we have nominees, we look
forward to a spirited and unified front as our candidates fight for freedom and limited, efficient
government in Maryland. The Party looks forward to supporting all of our nominees up and down the
ballot, just as the Party supported all of our nominees in all previous cycles. This is no time for division –
the stakes are too high, and we urge all of our nominees, unsuccessful primary candidates, and their
supporters to unify and support all of our Republican candidates on to victory in November.” Congressman Andy Harris stated: “All Americans know that the stakes are high in this upcoming
election. Parents need their rights restored to have a say in their children’s education, our men and
women in blue need our support and not our condemnation so that we can have safe cities and
neighborhoods, and families need relief from the high price of gas and groceries. Republicans have the
common sense answers to these issues – and we stand united to deliver what voters expect from their
representatives in government.” Chairman Haire also announced that Governor Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. will lead the 2022 Victory campaign
for Maryland GOP candidates. Governor Ehrlich stated: “I’m excited about this fall’s elections and the
many opportunities our Republican candidates have to hold and pick up seats up and down the ballot. I
look forward to working with the State Party and our GOP candidates to hold the Governor’s mansion,
pick up key County Executive and Congressional seats, and add additional seats to our General Assembly
delegation.”
